Fresh in red to BMO from Pacific FC, here are 5 quick things to know about Toronto FC‘s Kadin Chung before their home opener this weekend.
First in a PFC Shirt
Kadin was the very first signing in Pacific FC’s club history where he played three seasons, including the CanPL Island Games on PEI in 2020 and in the Winnipeg bubble of 2021.
Previous to the signing, Chung had been appearing with FC Kaiserslautern Reserves in Bundesliga 2. He’s also played among Coquitlam Metro Ford and Vancouver Whitecaps 2.
He’s Played for Canada
With a goal of making the senior team someday, the Port Coquitlam native has played with Canada’s U-17, U-20 and U-23 level teams.
In fact, in 2016, he was named U-17 Canadian Player of the Year.

Supportive and forward in the front, defensive in the back, Chung is the on-field manifestation of “get yourself a man who can do both,” giving clubs an extra attacking weapon while simultaneously still wielding a solid defensive presence.
This doubled passion helped Chung rack up over twenty-two hundred minutes in 2021 alone, complete with 1 goal, 1 assist (2 if you include Can Champ), and 53 interceptions.
